Frequently Asked Questions

What Is a LED Video Wall?

An LED video wall is a giant screen made up of lots of smaller panels, each filled with tiny lights called LEDs (light-emitting diodes). When all these panels are connected together, they act like one big screen that can show videos, images, or graphics—just like your TV or phone, but way bigger and much brighter.

You’ve probably seen LED video walls at concerts, sports arenas, digital billboards, or even outside stores. They're used to show big, bold visuals that need to be seen clearly from far away or in bright daylight.

Why Are They So Bright?

Unlike regular TVs that use backlights, each little LED gives off its own light. That means LED walls can be super bright, even outdoors in direct sunlight. A typical TV might have a brightness of around 500 nits, but LED video walls used outside can go as high as 10,000 nits—that’s really bright.

How Do They Work?

Each panel in the wall is made up of thousands of tiny lights (LEDs). These LEDs can change color and brightness, which together create the moving pictures or images you see on the screen.

All of the panels are controlled by a computer or special hardware that keeps everything perfectly in sync—so it all looks like one smooth image, not a bunch of little screens stuck together.

Are They Just One Big Screen?

Not exactly! What’s cool is that LED video walls are modular—meaning they’re built from smaller pieces. You can make them any size or shape you want: tall, wide, curved, or even wrapped around corners. Some even go on the floor or ceiling!

How much space is needed?

To set up our 7’x13’ video wall you will need a minimum of 20’ of level ground.

What’s “Pixel Pitch” and Why Does It Matter?

Pixel pitch is just the space between each LED. The smaller the space, the clearer the image—especially when you’re standing close to the screen. If the pixels are spaced farther apart, the image looks fine from a distance but might look pixelated up close.

So:

  • Smaller pixel pitch = sharper image up close.

  • Larger pixel pitch = more cost-effective for far-away viewing.

Can They Go Outside?

Yes! Outdoor LED walls are built to handle weather—rain, sun, wind, you name it. They’re sealed tightly so dust and water can’t get in, and they’re rated with something called an IP rating (like IP65), which basically says, “This thing can take a beating and still work fine.”

In Simple Terms...

An LED video wall is like a giant, customizable TV screen made up of light pixels. It’s super bright, works great outdoors, and can be built to any size. You’ve probably seen them without even realizing it—at live events, malls, or on the side of a truck.

They're not just cool tech—they're a powerful way to grab attention and show big, bold visuals that people can’t miss.
